Labyrinth served a technical demo of the early capabilities of the Bloxel engine.
The game generated a random maze using depth-first-search based algorithm. Next, monsters with player-seeking artificial intelligence were placed in the maze. Players then had to navigate out of the maze without falling prey to the monsters.
The game achieved notable success and was in the Top 50 Most Popular on IndieDB for several days and remained in the Top 500 Most Popular on IndieDB for several months.
