The Tail of the Monkey
January 2012 - January 2013

The Tail of the Monkey was the Lynbrook Robotics Team's 2012 robot for the FIRST Robotics Competition's 2012 game "Rebound Rumble." In Rebound Rumble, robots played a game similar to basketball in which robots scored by shooting basketballs into hoops. At the end of the game, robots could balance on see-saws for extra points.

As a freshman on the team, I contributed to software by leading development on the Key Tracker, a computer vision program that allowed the robot to detect when it was over the shooting area (white paper). I also contributed code to the auto-bridge-balancing mechanism. As a whole, my contributions helped the team win the Innovation in Control Award at the 2012 Silicon Valley Regional.
